If you don’t count Tad’s 8-Way Santa, John Spencer Blues Explosion’s Singles Club 7-inch is the first Christmas release in the Sub Pop catalog. As you might expect from the punk rock bluesman, Spencer offers up two original holiday tracks that range from a flaming tinsil scorchers to a blue Christmas lament.
