Today, Australia’s Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever release their new album, Endless Rooms, out digitally today on Sub Pop. The vinyl edition will be available in the EU/UK on May 20th and the rest of the world on June 3rd.
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever is Fran Keaney, Joe White, Marcel Tussie and brothers Tom Russo and Joe Russo. Following 2020’s Sideways To New Italy, Endless Rooms is a testament to the collaborative spirit and live power of the band, and is them “doing what we do best: chasing down songs in a room together.”Endless Rooms is the band’s most cinematic, stylistically diverse and ambitious album yet, as presented in a string of previously-released singles: “My Echo,” “Tidal River,” and “The Way It Shatters.”
Self-produced by the band with Matt Duffy, and mixed by Scott Horscroft (DMA’S, Silverchair, The Presets), Endless Rooms pulls back the curtain on what Rolling Blackouts C.F. can achieve, revealing a wider screen, deeper narrative currents, more confident shades, and an excitement at letting their tumbling brand of ragged, nervy pop wander and breathe.
Following dates in Australia and Europe, Rolling Blackouts C.F. will head stateside. A full list of dates are below and tickets are on sale now.

On July 1st, 2022 London-based artist Naima Bock will release her debut album Giant Palm via Sub Pop Records/Memorials of Distinction. Following the single releases of “30 Degrees,” her cover of the classic Brazilian song “Berimbau”, “Every Morning” and “Giant Palm” comes her latest single/official video for her song “Toll.”
Naima says of the song, “Toll was originally composed as a song to hold hands with decay and death. Recording alongside Joel Burton who arranged the violin and woodwind parts brought the song to life and allowed for space and freedom within it, while Alex Mckenzie’s flute solo beautifully introduces us into its world. My drummer Cassidy Hansen wrote and directed the video, magically closing the circle.” You can watch the video for “Toll” below.
Naima recently concluded a 17-date tour, as the main support slot for Rodrigo Amarante throughout Europe. She will headline The Lexington on 23rd May. She will have additional festival plays at Glastonbury, The Great Escape Festival, The Great Eastern Festival, Sea Change Festival, Hidden Doors Festival, and End of the Road Festival. In September she’ll support Dana Gavanski in Europe. See below for a full list of shows.

Born in Glastonbury to a Brazilian father and a Greek mother, Naima spent her early childhood in Brazil before eventually returning to England and various homes in South-East London. This heritage combines with more recent pursuits in Naima’s music; from the Brazilian standards that the family would listen to driving to the beach, to the European folk traditions she tapped into on her own, and the pursuits that interest her today – studies in archaeology, work as a gardener, and walking the world’s great trails – Naima’s music draws from family, the earth and the handing down of music through generations.
What People are saying about Naima Bock: “There’s a bit of ’70s Brian Eno in her vocal delivery and an echo of John Cale in her arrangements, but the fusion of her disparate cultural influences makes for an enchanting sound entirely Bock’s own.” [“Giant Palm”] -New York Times
“Flashes of jazz and Americana bolt across her songs, and with each brush of warmth and familiarity there’s something to claw you back to the edge of your seat.” [“30 Degrees”] - The Line of Best Fit
“…Filled with interweaving vocal harmonies and a transcendent sense of stillness.” [“Every Morning”]- Stereogum
“…Dark, smoky, folk sound, close harmonies and production touches that nod towards her upbringing in Brazil.” [“30 Degrees”] - Brooklyn Vegan
“‘30 Degrees’ is hushed and mournful, with Bock’s deep voice at the center.”- Stereogum
“A strong contender to be one of 2022’s breakout stars” - For The Rabbits
On May 20th, Sub Pop will release the debut album from Weird Nightmare, the electrifying new project from METZ guitarist and singer Alex Edkins. Hot on the heels of the album’s debut track, “Searching For You,” and its anthemic follow-up single “Lusitania,” comes the driving, ardent “Wrecked.” Edkins says of the song, “Wrecked” is about missing someone. For me, it’s about missing my wife and son while on tour. Being away has become harder and harder to do. I think most people can relate to it. Feeling impossibly far away from the ones you love and coming to the realization that you won’t feel whole again until you return. I was really happy to collaborate with Alicia (Bognanno) on this song and I love what she adds to it. Alicia has a one in a million voice. A voice that you recognize immediately and she really lifts the song way up. Directed by Ryan Thompson, the video for “Wrecked” is a tail as old as time. When a pooch with no pack strays into the park, you know things are gonna get ruff…
As previously announced, Weird Nightmare has a clutch of North American shows, including a hometown album release show on May 21st in Toronto, ON at The Baby G. The band will also hit the road on a 7-date co-headlining tour with labelmates Kiwi Jr. Click here for a full list of shows.

Alicia Bognanno of Bully wrote the theme song and scored the series for a new NBC News Original Podcast entitled Tiffany Dover Is Dead which is currently the #1 podcast on Apple. “Welcome to one of the internet’s weirdest obsessions. Back in December of 2020, a nurse named Tiffany Dover fainted on camera while she was talking to reporters after getting her first COVID shot. She got right back up and gave another interview, but it was too late. A conspiracy theory was already racing around the world: Dover had died. She’d been replaced by a body double.” You can listen to the podcast here.
Bognanno has also contributed “Never Needed”, a new song to the limited-edition Portraits of Her charity album, created by Record Store Day in partnership with VANS. The compilation features songs from Taylor Swift, Asiahn, Julien Baker, Banks, Leyla Blue, Boyish, Alice Longyu Gao, Laura Jane Grace, Girl in Red, Girl Ultra, K. Flay, Mariah the Scientist, Julia Michaels, Joy Oladokun, and Princess Nokia, features artwork by Sophia Enriquez, will benefit We Are Moving The Needle, a nonprofit organization supporting all women recording industry professionals, audio engineers, and producers. (‘Portraits of Her’ will be available on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 as an exclusive RSD release). Bognanno also appears on the song “Wrecked,” off the self-titled debut from labelmate Weird Nightmare (the new project from METZ frontman, Alex Edkins), which you can listen to here.
Bully has a series of headlining, support, and festival dates for the summer of 2022. On Saturday, June 25th, Bognanno and her band will perform at Nashville’s Pride Festival at the city’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Bully will then hit the road for a 10-date run of shows beginning Tuesday, August 23rd in Charleston, West Virginia at Mountain Stage and ending Saturday, September 3rd at Baltimore, Maryland’s Ottobar. Today, Australia’s Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever release a new single, “Dive Deep,” off of their forthcoming album, Endless Rooms, out this Friday on Sub Pop. “Dive Deep” features a slow-burn rhythm and an enormous lead guitar hook. “This is a simple song of devotion,” says Tom Russo. “It’s about if you are going to give in to love, you need to go all in, and accept that you have no control in the matter. It began as a home recording during lockdown. I recorded the guide vocals and guitars with my new baby strapped to my chest. When we could finally get together to play it, Joe White came up with the perfect lead guitar tone. He was given full license to wail, and did so.. I remember sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars, and hearing the guitar echoing all around the valley’”
